about
I was born in Washington and spent the first 18 years of my life in Fairbanks, Alaska — a place that shaped my appreciation for solitude, beauty, and the outdoors. I’ve always felt most at home walking through trails, alleyways, and industrial corridors — places that blend human intention with natural evolution.
Over the years, I’ve lived and worked across Alaska, Oregon, California, New York, Norway, Mexico, and Ecuador. I’ve flown into the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in a bush plane, led remote teams across time zones, and guided executives through complex learning programs. My path has been anything but linear — and that’s something I value.
Professionally, I began in tech as a web programmer, but soon found myself drawn to learning design — not just how systems work, but how people grow, adapt, and succeed. That led me into instructional design, where I’ve now spent over a decade developing eLearning experiences, onboarding programs, and enablement strategies across industries like banking, higher education, real estate, and SaaS.
I’m a certified PMP and a senior learning experience designer by title, but I see myself as a translator — someone who bridges content, tools, and human behavior. I have deep expertise with platforms like Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, and Power BI, and a growing focus on AI-enhanced learning, data-driven design, and business alignment.
Outside of work, I sketch, collect art, and enjoy the challenges (and surprises) of working on my properties. I care deeply about psychology, history, and motivation — the “why” behind what we do. I believe learning is everywhere, and I’m always chasing the next insight, the next trail, the next opportunity to build something better.
